NOTICE: Arrival/Departure Procedures

Due to the close proximity of the Wichita Class C surface airspace, we have estabilished procedures with the TRACON supervision to ensure traffic separation and FAR compliance for all Rucker Field Ops. Their staff have been very helpful as our operations have picked up!

Rwy 17--RH Pattern
Rwy 35--LH Pattern
CAUTION: 300 ft antenna just west of N end of Rwy.

Arrivals:
Rwy 17--Base-Final legs will encroach Class C airspace, contact with ICT approach is REQUIRED.
Rwy 35--Remain below2300 ft and land straight-in, or contact ICT approach and fly normal pattern.
Recommend contacting ICT approach prior flying under shelf area for all ops.

Departures:
Rwy 35--Contact ICT Tower over telephone prior to departure at 316-350-1530 is REQUIRED (upwind leg will encroach on Class C)
Rwy 17--Remain South and West of field below 2300 ft until at least 10 nm south of ICT, or contact ICT approach.
Recommend contacting ICT approach prior departure for all ops.

NORDO (no radio) aicraft:
Contact ICT Tower at 316-350-1530 prior to departure inbound to or taking off from SN34 if unable to remain well clear of Class C surface area.

Fly-in a hit!






Thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the fly-in with us! More than 100 people and 17 aircraft showed up.

Field Report--May 25, 2009--Good

The grass has recently been mowed, and there has been no significant rain in more than a week.  No wet spots noted.  300 ft antenna 1/4 mile west of north end of the field. Remnants of 2 terraces create small bumps on south 1/2 of runway.

Fly-in Details

Come one, come all!  Fun starts by noon.

Hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks will be provided for lunch.  If you like, bring a simple side dish or dessert and the sunscreen and join us!

Pilots check back here Monday for an early morning field report.  Please use 122.75 for CTAF.

Field Report: May 18, 2009--GOOD

Turf mowed with good grass coverage. Water from adjacent fields drains across south 1/3 of runway, making it more prone to wet spots. 300 ft antenna 1/4 mile west of north end of the field. Remnants of 2 terraces create small bumps on south 1/2 of runway.
